What is a Political Action Committee (PAC)?
A Political Action Committee, sometimes referred to as “PAC”, is a group formed by a company or by an industry to raise and contribute money to congressional candidates to help fund their election campaign efforts.
The PMH PAC is an effective vehicle for expanding our industry’s position as being the foremost provider of high quality, affordable housing for Pennsylvania. This is only possible, however, with the full support of everyone involved in the industry.
How does my contribution help?
Giving PAC money to candidates running for PA Legislature helps get those who actively listen to our concerns and who support our industry’s goals elected. Candidates who receive PMH PAC contributions promote our industry’s success on Capitol Hill by breaking down regulatory barriers to further the growth of our industry.
Your PMH PAC contribution gives the industry a political advantage over other special interest groups – some of whom have goals in opposition to our mission – and allows the industry to compete using every available tool.
Your PMH PAC involvement extends your influence beyond your own region in the state. All members of the legislature vote on our issues; our legislative allies are the industry’s best advocates. Your PMH PAC involvement supports candidates who are in leadership positions and who can help the industry succeed.

How much of my contribution is sent to candidates?
100 percent of every dollar you contribute to the PMH PAC goes directly to targeted legislative candidates. The administrative costs of operating the PAC are funded through separate association and corporation contributions.
